Days of Intent Procedures

Procedures for families interested in attending SES beginning August 2018

Tuesday, January 16, 2018 OR Wednesday, January 17, 2018           9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Days of Intent to Register indicate intent to register and do not secure a spot. The process often eliminates the need to have Open Registration, where students are registered on a first come/first served basis.

A parent/guardian MUST visit campus on one of these days during the time specified to fill out a Registration Information Packet, enabling prospective students to be considered in the first round(s) of the 2018-2019 registration process (Registration fees are not required at this time).

Copies of the following documents are required to register for Intent to Register.

Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate, Social Security Card, Current Immunization Record

Students enrolling in grades 1st -3rd must provide a copy of their most current report card.

Days of Intent to Register are for all prospective students who:

  1. Are not currently enrolled at St. Edward
  2. Do not have a sibling currently at St. Edward.
  3. Do not have a sibling who attended St. Edward in the past

Days of Intent to Register can include: All families fully “new” to St. Edward School

  1.  St. Edward Parishioners “new” to St. Edward School

a.  Parent/Guardian must be a registered Church Parishioner

b.  Approved Verification Form MUST be signed and approved by the pastor to be eligible to register (form to be secured from St. Edward Church Rectory)

2.  Catholic High School Faculty and Staff “new” to St. Edward School

a.  Approved VERIFICATION FORM from CHS must be signed and approved by CHS principal 

Requirements for Registration (ALL NEW STUDENTS)

In accord with the Louisiana Department of Education students entering school for the first time must be age appropriate by September 30th the year of enrollmentPlease Note: St. Edward School requires that students MUST be fully potty trained by the first day of school.

PK3 must be 3-years-old               PK4 must be four-years-old               Kindergarten must be five-years-old
